According to the People's Committee of Vinh Phong commune, after the merger, the locality has a lot of room for socio -economic development, in which the private economic sector is considered one of the important driving forces. On that basis, the commune focuses on exploiting advantages in agriculture, aquaculture and processing typical products such as: giant freshwater prawn, black tiger prawn and organic rice; encouraging the development of high-tech agriculture, agricultural processing, services, trade, eco-tourism associated with traditional craft villages; focusing on developing OCOP products, contributing to enhancing the brand of local agricultural products.
Vinh Phong also promotes the application of digital technology in receiving and processing records for people and businesses; publicizes and transparently provides information on land, planning, and preferential policies; reduces costs and time for administrative procedures for business households, cooperatives, and businesses; creates conditions for small business households to convert to enterprise models, improve management and production efficiency; coordinates with relevant units to train management and accounting skills, access preferential loans for business owners; supports trade promotion, bringing local products to e-commerce platforms, helping to expand customer access channels...
“The locality always focuses on improving the investment environment, enhancing the quality of services for enterprises and cooperatives; regularly dialogues with enterprises and cooperatives to promptly grasp difficulties, remove obstacles, create favorable conditions in accessing capital, administrative procedures and promoting the market. At the same time, encourage links between cooperative groups, cooperatives and enterprises to improve production and business efficiency, increase the value of agricultural products and expand consumption markets…”, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vinh Phong Commune Nguyen Van Sy informed.
Mr. Duong Khanh Du - owner of Nguyen Hung rice milling factory, Vinh Phuoc 2 hamlet, said that the private economic sector not only contributes to improving people's lives but also effectively exploits the local potential, towards sustainable development. "In the past time, the local government has supported us to access capital quite well; administrative procedures have been resolved quickly; many difficulties have been recognized and promptly resolved by the locality, helping business households and enterprises feel secure in production, contributing to the overall development of the locality," said Mr. Du.
According to Mr. Du, thanks to support from the government, his family has now increased the rice milling scale to 30 tons/day; created regular jobs for about 30 people, and has a product that meets OCOP standards, ST25 rice, which is favored by the market... "We still have certain difficulties, and hope that Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW will have more positive support policies, especially reducing bank loan interest rates for businesses and enterprises to expand their production scale. We are also researching to convert from a business household to an enterprise when the opportunity is ripe," said Mr. Du.
The People's Committee of Vinh Phong commune said that up to now, the whole commune has over 100 companies and enterprises; over 500 business households; 11 cooperatives and 17 cooperative groups. On average, each year, these economic sectors contribute about 12% of the local budget. "In the coming time, the commune will focus on adjusting and supplementing the planning and socio-economic development plan in accordance with the regional planning and development orientation of the province, focusing on developing the private economy in all potential and strong fields including: Agriculture , aquaculture, services, trade and agricultural processing", Mr. Nguyen Van Sy emphasized.
At the same time, the commune promotes economic restructuring according to the shrimp - rice - color model; prioritizes the development of aquaculture in the direction of diversifying types; continues to effectively implement the agricultural restructuring project associated with the OCOP program; develops collective and private economies associated with regional linkages, applying scientific and technological advances in production, preservation and consumption of products; encourages the development of high-tech agriculture and organic agriculture. In addition, the locality increases the mobilization of resources to invest in developing transport infrastructure, irrigation, etc. to serve economic development.
In particular, in the near future, when the highway through the area and major traffic routes are completed, the commune will proactively plan land funds, call for investment in service clusters, projects in the field of shrimp and crab processing for export, etc.; build rest stops, logistics warehouses; develop eco-tourism, community tourism associated with OCOP products.
