On the morning of April 21, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations organized a workshop on "Current situation and solutions to promote the application of Science and Technology - Digital transformation - chain linkage in developing OCOP products in the field of garden, pond and barn (VAC) in Vinh Phuc province".
In recent years, the application of new scientific and technological advances, high technology, and digital technology in agricultural production in the province has been developing strongly, helping to reduce production costs, improve productivity and product quality. Up to now, the whole province has 169 OCOP products meeting the provincial 3-star standard or higher, of which, OCOP products in the VAC sector have had diverse development, with many typical products, bringing high economic value. However, the application of technology, digital transformation, and building a linkage chain in agricultural production not only requires large investment capital but also requires the participation of all entities in the agricultural value chain, while High-tech Agriculture in Vinh Phuc is still in the process of formation, high-tech agricultural models are still few, only deployed in some stages, most OCOP entities are still limited in capacity, have difficulties in investment capital, so they cannot expand the scale of production.
At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions for applying science and technology, digital transformation, and chain linkage in developing OCOP products in the VAC sector, thereby clarifying the potential, policy mechanisms, creating breakthroughs in attracting investment, applying technology, digital transformation, and creating a chain linkage for agricultural production, especially for OCOP products in the province. Based on the opinions of the delegates, the Union of Science and Technology Associations will synthesize and advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on agricultural development.
