On July 23, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed Decision No. 707 of the Prime Minister approving the results of the dismissal of Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province for the 2021-2026 term.

On July 10, the People's Council of Bac Ninh province passed a resolution to dismiss Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, term XIX, 2021 - 2026.

This was done according to the opinion of the Secretariat in Official Dispatch No. 10370 of the Central Party Office and Conclusion No. 1114 of the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee for Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang to receive a new assignment according to the decision of the competent authority.

After the People's Council of Bac Ninh province dismissed her from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang continued to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

On July 15, the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee assigned Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, to take on the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang (55 years old) has held the position of Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province since November 2019.

Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang has held many leadership positions in Bac Ninh province such as: Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, Secretary of Gia Binh District Party Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Board, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee.
