In the film, Hoang Thuy Linh plays Yen, a "devil" female boss who struggled alone to get to her current position, causing her to have impossibly high criteria for choosing a life partner.

In contrast to Yen, Dong is a young master of the village, living without dreams, without aspirations and especially declaring that he will not marry. He only needs to live well, not break the law and wait for the day he can spend the money he inherited.

Faced with the "stubbornness" of their two children and grandchildren, Mr. Trong and Mrs. Mao used every means, even "tricks" to put pressure. After many unsuccessful attempts to resist, Yen and Dong had to find a way to please their family.

Phong, an employee who has many grudges with Yen, becomes her contract lover. Dong, in a hurry, checks all his ex-lovers' list, but unfortunately, no girl can "help" him. When Dong no longer thinks about getting married, he falls in love with Huyen - a single mother with whom they were almost "incompatible" before.

The unthinkable happened, Yen ignored her standards for her other half to accept Phong. Dong escaped from his "obsession" with marriage to come to Huyen. Everything seemed perfect until Yen - Phong's contract was exposed. Mr. Trong and Mr. Mao opposed Huyen becoming a daughter-in-law in the family because of her complicated private life. Once again, Yen and Dong faced challenges.
