Accelerating human resource training in renewable energy industry

(NLDO) - The strategic cooperation between Lithaco and Cao Thang Technical College will contribute to developing high-quality human resources in the renewable energy industry.

On October 25, at the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation in the field of scientific research, training and technology transfer, Mr. Tran Quoc Tam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lien Thanh Vietnam Electromechanical Joint Stock Company (Lithaco), emphasized that the current and future energy revolution will have a significant "dominance" of wind power and solar power.

"Young people are the high-quality human resources that contribute to helping the country achieve the Net Zero target by 2050," Mr. Tam commented.

Leaders and lecturers of Cao Thang Technical College visited and learned about solar batteries.

Having spent a long time working with and recruiting human resources from Cao Thang Technical College, Mr. Tam has many compliments for the students of this school for their professional working style.

"Many of them have worked for a long time at our company and are highly appreciated, even surpassing students from some universities. Even when assigned to jobs that are not in their technical expertise, they still complete them excellently, showing a high combat spirit," Mr. Tam acknowledged.

According to the cooperation plan, the two sides agreed to implement 5 key programs in the period 2025-2030. First of all, the field of vocational training and human resource development will be maintained throughout with at least 2 training courses per year on solar power, BESS system and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Dr. Le Dinh Kha, Principal of Cao Thang Technical College, said that this school is a vocational training institution with a history of more than 119 years, playing an important role in training high-quality technical human resources to serve the development of Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region.

The school is training 18 college-level majors and professions in key fields, meeting the requirements of industrial development and digital transformation trends.

In which, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - VNU represents knowledge and scientific and technical research; Cao Thang Technical College represents high-quality skilled human resources; Lithaco represents enterprises that implement excellent applications in practice.

"The school highly appreciates this model, which helps lecturers and students access modern technology as well as practical systems while still in school, and students can work immediately after graduation. In addition, the school can retrain and provide advanced training for the technical staff of renewable energy enterprises to adapt to career development and new technology" - Dr. Le Dinh Kha emphasized.
