On the morning of October 27th, Ms. Cao Thi Hoa An, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and encouraged households in Binh Kien ward affected by recent flooding.

Accompanying them were leaders from the committees of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Party Committee Office, and the Office of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and People's Council.

Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and inquired about the living conditions and health of the people at Hoa Kien market.

At the places she visited, Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An cordially inquired about the living conditions and health of the people, and shared in their difficulties and losses caused by heavy rains and floods.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that local authorities continue to mobilize forces to support people in overcoming the consequences, ensuring the safety of lives and property; organize on-call shifts, disseminate warning information; and direct relevant departments to inspect and dredge the canal system to reduce water accumulation…

Reporting to the working group, comrades Nguyen Le Vi Phuc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Kien Ward, and Nguyen Quoc Thang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Kien Ward, stated that during the heavy rains up to the present time, the ward has assigned officials, militia forces, and police to be on duty at critical points to promptly assist people in relocating their property; at the same time, they have put up warning signs and checkpoints in deeply flooded and dangerous areas, and allowed students to stay home from school in flooded areas to ensure safety.

Local authorities have requested that the province and relevant agencies promptly study long-term solutions for drainage, upgrade infrastructure in low-lying areas to minimize damage during heavy rains and floods; and invest in a flood drainage system along the highway passing through the ward to prevent localized flooding during heavy and prolonged rainfall.

Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An shared words of encouragement with the leaders of Binh Kien ward, urging them to overcome difficulties together.

The visit demonstrates the sense of responsibility and compassion of the provincial leaders towards the people during this difficult time. It also instills confidence and motivation in the people to overcome the natural disaster and quickly stabilize their lives.
