Reporting to the working group, comrades Nguyen Le Vi Phuc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Kien Ward, and Nguyen Quoc Thang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Kien Ward, stated that during the heavy rains up to the present time, the ward has assigned officials, militia forces, and police to be on duty at critical points to promptly assist people in relocating their property; at the same time, they have put up warning signs and checkpoints in deeply flooded and dangerous areas, and allowed students to stay home from school in flooded areas to ensure safety.

Local authorities have requested that the province and relevant agencies promptly study long-term solutions for drainage, upgrade infrastructure in low-lying areas to minimize damage during heavy rains and floods; and invest in a flood drainage system along the highway passing through the ward to prevent localized flooding during heavy and prolonged rainfall.
