Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Lai The Nguyen shared his joy and congratulated the Thanh Hoa Diocese and Catholic people on the occasion of Christmas 2024.

On the evening of December 24th, at Thanh Hoa Cathedral, Comrade Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and other provincial leaders joined in the celebration and congratulated Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong, Chairman of the Justice and Peace Committee of the Vietnam Bishops' Conference, Bishop of the Thanh Hoa Diocese; priests, dignitaries, and Catholic parishioners on the occasion of Christmas 2024 and welcoming the New Year 2025.

Comrade Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, along with other provincial leaders, presented flowers to congratulate Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong, priests, dignitaries, and Catholic people in the province on the occasion of Christmas 2024.

In 2024, despite still facing many difficulties and challenges, with the spirit of unity, creativity, effort, and striving of the Party Committee, government, business community, and people of all ethnic groups in the province, the socio- economic situation and national defense and security of the province have achieved many positive results. Most fields achieved higher results compared to the same period, many important indicators exceeded the set plan and were among the leading provinces nationwide.

The achievements of Thanh Hoa province in 2024 were significantly contributed by the Catholic community under the leadership of the Bishop of the Thanh Hoa Diocese and the guidance of the priests. The Party Committee and government at all levels in the province acknowledge and highly appreciate the contributions of Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong, the priests, and the Catholic community in the province to the cause of building a more prosperous and developed homeland and country.

Following the pastoral direction of the Vietnam Bishops' Conference, "Accompanying the nation, empathizing with and sharing the hopes and anxieties of the nation in the process of social development and human advancement," in the coming time, Catholic compatriots will continue to uphold the fine traditions of their homeland, Thanh Hoa, together with the Party committees, government, and Fatherland Front at all levels, to build and strengthen the great national unity; to care for building a life that is "good in this world and beautiful in faith"; and to work together to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Thanh Hoa homeland.

Proud of the strong development of Thanh Hoa province and the contributions of the Catholic community to the province's overall achievements, Bishop Nguyen Duc Cuong affirmed that the Catholic Diocese of Thanh Hoa will continue to guide its clergy, officials, and Catholic community to strictly adhere to the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; proactively and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements launched by all levels and sectors. At the same time, it will promote the spirit of unity and cooperation to contribute to the further development of Thanh Hoa province.
