Speaking at the opening of the training session, Mr. Pham Hai Bang - Vice Principal of the School of Training and Fostering of Natural Resources and Environment Officers said that training in state management of environmental protection has been a regular task of the School for many years. The School has coordinated with the Departments of Natural Resources and Environment nationwide to effectively implement this work and has achieved many encouraging results.
In 2023, the School plans to organize 5 regional training courses in the 3 regions of the North, Central and South, contributing to enhancing the capacity, promoting the role and responsibility of local ministries and branches participating in environmental protection work. This is the 2nd training course implemented in the School's training and development plan.
At the training session, the lecturers disseminated the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020, documents guiding the implementation of the Law in the environmental field; Popularized environmental protection requirements for enterprises and production and business establishments as well as environmental management in economic zones and industrial parks.
In addition, the School and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Da Nang City also mentioned key issues in State management of environmental protection at the local level and regulations on environmental impact assessment and environmental licenses currently applied.
The training session was attended by leaders, officers, civil servants and public employees of the natural resources and environment sector from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, units under the Department; District-level Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Other relevant agencies and units; Management Boards of economic zones, industrial parks and enterprises in the scope of 14 provinces and cities of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Binh Dinh, Binh Thuan, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam.
