Quy Nhon coastal city expands by 2,795 hectares of urban, commercial and service land

On the morning of February 9, the Office of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province announced that the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh had just signed a decision approving the land use planning of Quy Nhon city for the period 2021-2030.

Commercial, service and urban residential land in Quy Nhon City will increase by 2,795 hectares.

Accordingly, Quy Nhon City currently has a total natural area of ​​about 28,605 hectares. Of which, agricultural land is about 16,036 hectares (accounting for 56%); non-agricultural land is about 10,398 hectares (accounting for 36.35%); the remaining part is unused land of about 2,170 hectares (accounting for 7.59%).

According to the plan, agricultural land in Quy Nhon City is only 13,855 hectares (accounting for 48.44%), a decrease of about 2,181 hectares compared to the current status in 2020. Of which, rice land decreased by 532 hectares; land for other annual crops decreased by 345 hectares; protective forest land decreased by 533 hectares; production forest land decreased by 269 hectares; aquaculture land decreased by 132 hectares. In particular, other agricultural land increased slightly from 38 hectares to 68 hectares.

Along with agricultural land, unused land also decreased by about 809 hectares. Non-agricultural land alone, according to the land use plan until 2030, will increase by 2,991 hectares, an increase of nearly 10% compared to the current status in 2020.

Meanwhile, commercial, service and urban residential land in Quy Nhon City will increase by 2,795 hectares. Specifically, commercial and service land will increase from 1,441 hectares to 2,605 hectares; urban residential land will increase from 1,046 hectares to 2,677 hectares. Notably, defense land and industrial park land in Quy Nhon City by 2030 will decrease by 74 hectares and 315 hectares, respectively.

According to the Binh Dinh Provincial Investment Promotion Center, in the period of 2021-2025, the Provincial People's Committee prioritizes calling for investment in many large projects in Quy Nhon City, focusing mainly on the fields of trade, services and real estate.
