The first classes at the second campus of Nghi An Secondary School in Vinh Phu Ward, Nghe An Province have officially taken place, ending the waste situation and opening up new expectations for teachers and students here.

After more than a year of completion but being abandoned, the school worth more than 23 billion VND in Vinh Phu ward, Nghe An province has opened its doors to welcome students.
The first classes at Nghi An Secondary School's second campus have officially taken place, ending the waste situation and opening up new expectations for teachers and students here.
From the beginning of December 2025, Nghi An Secondary School organized the first class at the second campus in Kim Trung hamlet (Vinh Phu ward). Six classes including 6A, 7A, 7B, 7E, 7G and 8A started studying according to the new timetable.
Each lesson at this facility is arranged in 3 subjects such as: Education , Fine Arts, Local Education or English Enhancement.
Classes are held in the afternoon, so students only come to Campus 2 1-2 times a week, avoiding having to travel between the two locations. Grade 9 students still study at Campus 1 to ensure they can prepare for their final exams.
Ms. Le Viet Hong, Principal of Nghi An Secondary School, said: "When organizing teaching at the second facility, the school was initially worried and hesitant. Although the classroom was cramped and difficult to move around at the back of the classroom, there were basically enough desks and chairs for students, ensuring 2 students per desk. Up to this point, all teaching and learning activities of teachers and students have stabilized and parents also agree with the school's teaching plan. In the future, I hope the local government will continue to invest in the remaining items to help teaching and learning go smoothly and meet the teaching requirements in the new period."
To prepare for convenient teaching at facility 2, Vinh Phu Ward People's Committee has allocated funds to invest in purchasing facilities for 5 classrooms, including 1 computer, 1 television for each classroom, and equipping the administrative rooms at facility 2 with minimum equipment.
In addition, the ward has repaired and cleaned the road leading to the school to help students, teachers and people travel conveniently.
Previously, a reporter from Vietnam News Agency reported on the Nghi An Secondary School Project, Phase 2 (Phase 1), invested by the People's Committee of Nghi An Commune (old), starting construction in 2023 and completing in October 2024.
The project has a total floor area of over 1,950m2 along with a gate, fence, garage and guard house with a total investment of over 23 billion VND. However, more than a year after completion, the school has not been put into use because the facilities have not met the minimum requirements for teaching such as: no office for teachers, functional rooms, laboratory practice rooms, playgrounds...
To resolve related issues and put the project into operation soon, immediately after that, Vinh Phu Ward People's Committee held a meeting with the participation of the Board of Directors of Nghi An Secondary School and specialized departments to find solutions to soon put the second facility into use.
As for the items in phase 2 of the project, the locality will include them in the public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period./.
