Dissemination and implementation of the Law on Water Resources

On August 19, in Da Nang, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) coordinated with the Department of Water Resources Management (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment), the Department of Industrial Safety Techniques and Environment ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) to disseminate and implement the Law on Water Resources 2023 and decrees, circulars, and regulations serving the operation and exploitation of hydropower projects.

Experts from the Department of Water Resources Management disseminated the provisions of the Law on Water Resources and decrees and circulars guiding the implementation of this law, especially new regulations related to the exploitation and use of water for hydropower and thermal power; regulation and distribution of water resources, optimization of hydropower reservoir operations, towards real-time reservoir operations... Representatives of the Department of Water Resources Management also disseminated and guided a number of new regulations on the exploitation and use of water resources; fees for granting water exploitation rights, reporting on water exploitation and use; minimum flow after dams and reservoirs; monitoring and supervision of water exploitation and use; corridors, marking of corridors to protect water sources and reservoirs; reservoir and inter-reservoir processes and regulations on coordinated operations; rights and obligations of reservoir management and operation units and being subject to inspection and sanctions for violations and incomplete implementation of responsibilities...
