Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu worked with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs

On the afternoon of August 27, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee worked with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs on the implementation of tasks in the first 8 months of 2024 and deploying tasks for the remaining months of 2024.

Over the past 8 months, the department has effectively implemented the work on labor and employment, including sending more than 240 workers to work abroad; developing 199,609 people to participate in social insurance; recruiting and training more than 18,500 people; paying correctly, fully and promptly monthly allowances to 5,999 people with revolutionary contributions with an amount of more than 12.9 billion VND/month; promptly implementing policies and regimes for social protection beneficiaries and the poor; synchronously implementing poverty reduction policies, thereby reducing the number of poor households by more than 680 and near-poor households by more than 440; paying non-cash allowances to beneficiaries by more than 28.13%; Children's work, gender equality, and social evil prevention have been implemented synchronously and effectively... From now until the end of 2024, the whole sector will focus on effectively implementing the set tasks and targets; strengthening job creation and vocationaleducation recruitment for people; fully implementing the regime for people with revolutionary contributions; effectively implementing projects and sub-projects of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction... At the meeting, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs proposed that the Provincial People's Committee soon implement the project to upgrade and expand the road west of Hon Dung Martyrs' Cemetery and add 6 labor contracts at this cemetery; add more resources to implement specific policies on poverty reduction and ensure social security...

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu requested the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to coordinate with agencies and units to effectively implement solutions to increase the rate of people participating in social insurance; establish inspection teams on the implementation of social insurance policies; urgently review poor households in 2024 and prepare documents to submit to the Central Government to help Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son districts escape poverty; urgently complete the Project on developing the provincial vocational education network to 2030 with a vision to 2040; accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital in the sector's fields...
