On May 23, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Council - People's Committee, Comrade Nguyen Hung Nam, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a meeting and worked with World Vision International (WVI).

WVI operates in the fields of food security, agriculture, clean water and environmental sanitation, sustainable energy, microfinance, economic development, disaster prevention and mitigation and emergency relief, climate change, education, development and preschool education, child protection, healthcare... according to the registered scope of activities. In Hung Yen, WVI is implementing the Microfinance Program in Kim Dong and Phu Cu districts, providing unsecured loans to people with small loans, quick procedures, and low interest rates. Every year, WVI develops an operational program and properly implements the program's contents, complies with the law, and periodically reports as prescribed. Currently, 3,390 households/36 communes of 3 districts have access to loans with a total capital of 60.8 billion VND. At the meeting, representatives of WVI thanked the Provincial People's Committee for coordinating and supporting the implementation of programs, projects and non-projects sponsored by WVI in the past and committed to continue accompanying the province in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hung Nam emphasized that the WVI Microfinance Program implemented in the province has contributed to improving the lives, developing the economy, improving social security and raising awareness of some residents in communes where the project is implemented, especially improving the capacity of the poor. Through the project, many poverty reduction models have been piloted effectively and sustainably, while contributing to strengthening the friendly relationship between Hung Yen province and people of countries in the region and around the world . The government and beneficiaries always support and hope that the program and project will continue to be implemented. In the coming time, in order to strengthen the mobilization, attraction, management and effective exploitation of foreign non-governmental aid sources, the province encourages and creates favorable conditions for donors to survey and learn about the local support needs to promote mobilization and attraction of investment resources from outside, while improving the effectiveness of state management of foreign non-governmental organizations; mobilization work must ensure the right direction, consistent with the needs and actual situation of the locality and unit. The province will accompany, be ready to coordinate, share and actively support non-governmental organizations and donors in the process of operating and implementing programs and projects in the province. During its operation in the province, WVI strictly complies with the provisions of relevant Vietnamese laws; coordinates with units, localities and partners in the province to carry out activities in accordance with the registered fields; strictly ensures the information and reporting regime as required.
