At the scene, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang requested the construction units, the Provincial Traffic and Civil Works Project Management Board and local authorities to proactively deploy plans to respond to storms and floods, especially the reinforcement of slopes, drainage systems, dredging of waterways, and protection of construction machinery and materials. He emphasized: Contractors must not neglect safety for the sake of progress. All construction activities must be temporarily stopped when there is a warning of dangerous weather, while ensuring absolute safety for workers and vehicles. At the same time, he directed contractors and construction units to concentrate vehicles and machinery to be ready for combat, urgently coordinate with localities to dredging waterways when there is heavy rain and evacuate people from low-lying areas with high risk of flooding.
