Permanent Deputy Prime Minister: Hue needs to proactively seek new growth drivers

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh highly appreciated the socio -economic development efforts of Hue City in the first six months of 2025.

Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh acknowledged the proactive, decisive, and responsible spirit of the Hue City government in organizing and operating the two-tiered local government model, ensuring the stability of the apparatus, the morale of officials, and the quality of service to the people; promoting public investment, and preparing for the implementation of key national projects. The preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values and the festivals have left a clear mark.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested Hue City to continue paying attention and focusing on ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the two-tiered local government system.

According to Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh, it is essential to clearly understand that organizing local government into two levels is a major and correct policy of the Party and the State, aimed at eliminating intermediate steps, building a streamlined government apparatus that operates more efficiently and effectively; closer to the people, and serving the people better.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested Hue City to continue to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Central Committee's Resolution on the development of the private economy and proactively mobilize resources from society.

Simultaneously, it is necessary to proactively seek new growth drivers, especially in the fields of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; to promote a spirit of innovation and dynamism, to maximize the utilization of resources, and to focus on successfully achieving socio-economic development goals, in order to create new, long-term development milestones that meet the requirements of higher growth, including the goal of striving to achieve a growth rate of over 10% in the next term.

Regarding preparations for the Party Congress at all levels, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh commended Hue City for its timely implementation and its efforts to complete the commune-level congresses in the first half of August, ahead of the Central Committee's regulations.

According to him, the city of Hue should then urgently prepare for the city-level congress with high standards regarding documents, personnel matters, and clear, substantive, and actionable development orientations.

Later that same day, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited and inspected the FPT Hue Education Complex project.

In line with its orientation and training objectives, the complex focuses strongly on cutting-edge technology fields such as STEM, AI, and Robotics, contributing to building a high-quality workforce to effectively implement the "strategic quartet ," especially Resolution 57-NQ/TW.
