This is the first high-level multilateral conference in the field of green growth, green transformation and sustainable development that Vietnam hosts.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said that Vietnam's hosting of the P4G Conference is an important milestone not only in foreign affairs, but also a strategic step in the country's sustainable development process.

This is an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its strong commitments to implementing the United Nations' sustainable development goals, while demonstrating its determination to cooperate with the international community to promote green and sustainable transformation strategies on a national, regional and global scale.
The Deputy Prime Minister stated that hosting the conference opens up opportunities for Vietnam to consolidate and deepen its cooperative relations with partners and enhance its position in multilateral mechanisms. From there, Vietnam can more effectively utilize external resources, especially in key areas such as climate change response, digital transformation, science and technology and innovation.
Vietnam is entering a new era. This is also an opportunity to affirm the right path in sustainable development, “not sacrificing progress, social justice and the environment to pursue mere economic growth”...
The Deputy Prime Minister said that about 600 delegates from more than 40 countries and international organizations registered to attend, including member countries, P4G partners, investment funds, research institutes, businesses, scholars and diplomatic corps.
