In enterprises with many union members and workers, the annual Workers' Month is always organized by the grassroots trade union with many activities to enhance better care for the lives of workers, especially those who have occupational accidents, illnesses, and families in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Mai Phu Hung, Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Co., Ltd., where thousands of workers are working, said: "In addition to organizing sports activities and organizing skill competitions, the company coordinates with the Provincial Family Planning Association to organize medical examinations for union members and female workers and give gifts to women in difficult circumstances."

Meanwhile, at Compass II Company Limited (VSIP I Industrial Park, Thuan An City), the Trade Union organized propaganda on occupational safety and health (OSH) to join hands in reducing occupational accidents to the lowest level. The highlight was launching a clip contest on OSH in production lines and workshops; organizing to commend good people and good deeds, rewarding excellent workers and creative workers in production and business.

At the same time, in order to take care of the lives of workers during Workers' Month, the Trade Union is reviewing the number of workers in difficult circumstances to visit and give gifts. This year, the Trade Union will select particularly difficult cases to participate in the program "Going to the market with union members". Mr. Nguyen Duy Phuong, Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, said: "With the proposed program, each month the Trade Union will select a number of workers in difficult circumstances, go with them to the supermarket to buy household items, and support them to buy goods for 0 VND".

The Trade Union of Phong Thai Rubber Company Limited (Ben Cat City) said that during Workers' Month 2025, the unit will focus on taking care of families in difficult circumstances, awarding scholarships to children with good academic achievements and female workers who are pregnant or raising young children, each gift worth 500,000 VND...

According to records, many enterprises in Tan Uyen City also organized meaningful activities to accompany the Workers' Month. Mr. Mai Van Can, Vice President of the Trade Union of Rochdale Spears Company Limited, said that in addition to visiting and giving gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, these days, the Trade Union coordinated with the company to organize sports events for workers. On May 21, the company will coordinate with the City Red Cross Society and Cho Ray Hospital to organize humanitarian blood donation; at the end of May, it will organize a discount market for workers to shop.

Increase fun activities

In Binh Duong, every year, during Workers' Month, trade unions at all levels and enterprises focus on recreational activities for workers. These activities help union members and workers have a playground, connect and exchange after a hard day's work in the workshop. Mr. Nguyen Tai Duong, Chairman of the Trade Union of Maruichi Sunsteel Co., Ltd., shared: "In addition to organizing programs to improve union members' welfare, sports and recreational activities for union members and workers are indispensable. Our company is organizing soccer and volleyball tournaments, which are widely participated by union members and workers."

Also during Workers’ Month, many businesses are organizing tours and vacations for their employees, helping them recharge after hard days of work. Ms. Dinh Thi Huong, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Phong Thai Rubber Company Limited, said: “On May 10 and 11, the Trade Union coordinated with the company to take hundreds of employees on a trip to Phan Thiet. During these two days off, the company will pay the full salary to the workers. Meaningful activities in May will help employees stay with their jobs for a long time.”

The activity of taking workers on vacation and travel is also being organized by Apparel Far Eastern Co., Ltd. (VSIP I Industrial Park), bringing joy to thousands of workers. Ms. Pham Thi Duyen, Chairwoman of the Company's Trade Union, said: "Another meaningful activity accompanying the workers is that the Trade Union will organize scholarships for thousands of children with good academic results, each scholarship is 500,000 VND...".

In general, during Workers' Month, in addition to the key activities of trade unions at all levels in the province, with the cooperation of enterprises, the Trade Union has created many meaningful activities to better care for the families of union members who have had accidents, are sick, or are in difficult circumstances.

At the launching ceremony of Workers' Month, the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2025 in Di An City, Mr. Pham Van Bay, Vice Chairman of Di An City People's Committee, emphasized that Workers' Month is an opportunity for all levels, sectors and enterprises to continue to show their concern and take better care of workers' lives in all aspects; as well as promote propaganda and minimize occupational accidents. This is also an opportunity to honor creative workers, creating a spread for the movement to grow stronger.

There are currently more than 300,000 workers working in Di An City. Over the years, the workforce has made positive contributions to the local economic and social development.
