The working delegation led by Major General Le Xuan Duc, the Minister's Thematic Research Board, had a working session with the Police and Department of Culture & Sports of provinces and cities, including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, An Giang, Soc Trang and Can Tho City to effectively implement the proposed plan.


Provincial police have actively coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports to develop specific action programs, focusing on improving the quality of training and coaching athletes and organizing professional tournaments. The connection between units not only facilitates the selection and training but also improves the capacity to organize and manage sports activities in the People's Public Security Forces.
According to Plan 31/KH-BCA-CA, the People's Public Security Sports organizes training, education, and development of 31 high-performance sports representing the People's Public Security to participate in domestic and international sports competitions: Shooting; Swimming-diving; Table tennis; Boxing; Badminton; Sepak Takraw; Weightlifting; Athletics; Judo; Karate; Fencing; Muay; Pencak Silat; Taekwondo; Wrestling; Traditional martial arts; Wushu; Volleyball; Basketball; Football; Pickleball; Archery; Chess; Vovinam; Bowling; Petanque; Kurash; Jujitsu; Sambo; Cycling (terrain); Sailing.


Sharing at the meeting with the units, Major General Le Xuan Duc highly appreciated the efforts in implementing the sports movement of the provincial police in recent times. Major General Le Xuan Duc acknowledged the contributions of representatives of the units on the development of high-performance sports in the People's Public Security Forces, especially the active support from the Department of Culture and Sports in the localities.
At the meeting, representatives of the provincial police leaders expressed their determination to effectively implement the plan to develop high-performance sports in the force. Opinions emphasized the important role of sports in physical training and improving the fighting spirit of officers and soldiers, and affirmed that this is not only a task but also an opportunity for the People's Public Security Forces to affirm their position in domestic and international sports arenas.
In addition, local police leaders also recommended that the Ministry of Public Security continue to have policies to support facilities, training regimes and increase opportunities for practical training to improve athletes' skills. At the same time, they emphasized that coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports needs to be further strengthened to maximize the sports potential of each locality, aiming to build a systematic, specialized and sustainable training system.


In order to effectively implement the Coordination Program No. 09/Ctr-BCA-BVHTTDL dated May 26, 2021 between the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on management, direction and organization of physical training and sports activities in the People's Public Security Forces for the period 2021-2025, as well as Plan 31/KH-BCA-CA, Major General Le Xuan Duc requested the Public Security of the provinces to continue to closely coordinate with the local sports sector to overcome difficulties, promote the achieved results and promote the organization of competitions and tournaments. This not only helps officers and soldiers to improve their physical strength and improve their competition achievements, but also promotes the sports movement in the force.
Local police and the Department of Culture and Sports need to coordinate closely in investment and selection of talented individuals who have achieved excellent results in key sports. These athletes will be trained thoroughly, be part of the Ministry of Public Security's reserve, and be ready to participate in domestic and regional tournaments, aiming to conquer national arenas: the 11th National Sports Festival and further international tournaments such as the "World Police and Fire Olympics" in 2029.

With the close attention and direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security; professional direction of the Department of Political Work, together with the close coordination of the Department of Culture and Sports of localities, the sports movement in the People's Public Security Forces promises to continuously develop strongly and sustainably. Not only does it train the physical strength and improve the endurance of officers and soldiers, this activity also fosters a strong will, steadfastness and a spirit of readiness to fight, meeting the requirements of ensuring security and order in the new situation.
