Cao Phong Women - Everyone contributes what they have, join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

Responding to the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", especially the peak period of 450 days and nights to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for the poor, the Women's Union of Cao Phong district has been implementing many creative and effective solutions, contributing to realizing the dream of solid and safe homes for poor women members and people in the area.

Women's Union members participate in supporting working days to build houses for disadvantaged members' households in Xa Hop Phong commune.

Comrade Vi Thi Hanh, President of the Cao Phong District Women's Union, shared: "In recent years, the movement to build "Shelters of Love" launched by the Women's Union has spread widely and brought about practical results. Not only contributing to eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, this activity also spreads the message of love, demonstrating the role and responsibility of the Union in the socio -economic development of the district."

Implementing Official Dispatch No. 1878, dated November 21, 2024 of the Provincial Women's Union, the Standing Committee of the District Women's Union promptly issued a document directing and deploying a peak emulation campaign to each Union base with specific and practical content. The emulation campaign created a vibrant atmosphere in all levels of the Union, strongly promoting the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the community to participate in supporting the construction and repair of new houses for poor and near-poor households, people affected by natural disasters, climate change and families of meritorious people facing housing difficulties.

With the motto "Everyone contributes what they have", the District Women's Union has stepped up propaganda and mobilization on the Union's information channel and social networking platforms. The message "A million loving hearts, a thousand happy homes" has spread widely, arousing feelings and responsibilities in each cadre, female union member and citizen. From specific actions such as contributing working days, supporting materials and finances to sincere words of encouragement and sharing, all have created a community strength full of humanity and affection.

Typically, in the first days of April 2025, the women's associations: Trang Giua hamlet (Hop Phong commune), Bai Be 2 hamlet (Dung Phong commune), Qua hamlet and Rom Khanh hamlet (Thach Yen commune) helped 4 households: Bui Thi Tan, Bui Van Phuc, Bui Thi Hue and Bui Thi Quy to start building foundations, transporting materials, and roofing, with 143 laborers mobilized, clearly demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and sharing of women and local people.

Comrade Bui Thi Dung, President of the Women's Union of Dung Phong commune, shared: "Removing temporary and dilapidated houses is not only a material support, but also a way for us to convey our trust and encourage women to strive to rise up. During the recent groundbreaking ceremony, from those who contributed their efforts to those who transported each bag of cement and each roofing sheet, everyone was very enthusiastic, no one stood aside."

In order for the movement to go deeper and create sustainable spread, the District Women's Union also launched emulation within the Union at all levels, encouraging effective resource mobilization models, ensuring publicity, transparency, and the right beneficiaries. Inspection and supervision work was also carried out seriously, promptly praising and rewarding typical collectives and individuals; at the same time, removing obstacles arising during the implementation process.

Not only associated with the task of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the special emulation campaign is also in harmony with patriotic emulation movements and the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction, socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. This is also a practical action of Cao Phong district women to celebrate the country's major holidays, especially the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, towards the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.

With the spirit of "Promoting the core role of the Women's Union - joining hands to build warm homes", Cao Phong district women are gradually continuing the journey of charity, realizing the goal of completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households in the area, bringing solid roofs, creating trust and determination to rise up for those who still have difficult lives.
