According to the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units proposed by the People's Committee of Chi Linh City, the city will be divided into 6 wards.

Specifically, Chi Linh 1 ward includes Sao Do, Van An, Chi Minh, Thai Hoc wards, a part of the golf course planning in Van Duc ward and a part of Loi Dong residential area, Cong Hoa ward. The office of Chi Linh 1 ward is expected to be located at the current office of the City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Chi Linh city.

Chi Linh 2 Ward includes Pha Lai Ward, Co Thanh Ward and Nhan Hue Commune, with the expected working headquarters in Pha Lai Ward and Co Thanh Ward at present.

Chi Linh 3 Ward was established on the basis of merging Cong Hoa Ward (except for part of Loi Dong residential area) and 2 communes Le Loi and Hung Dao. The proposed office location is in Cong Hoa Ward and Le Loi Commune at present.

Chi Linh Ward 4 was established on the basis of merging Ben Tam Ward and 2 communes of Bac An and Hoang Hoa Tham. The new ward's office is expected to be located in the current Ben Tam Ward and Hoang Hoa Tham Commune.

Chi Linh Ward 5 includes Hoang Tan Ward, Hoang Tien Ward and part of Van Duc Ward. The new administrative unit's headquarters are expected to be located in Hoang Tan Ward and Hoang Tien Ward.

Chi Linh Ward 6 will include 3 wards: An Lac, Tan Dan and Dong Lac. The expected office location will be in Tan Dan and Dong Lac wards.

According to the above plan, Chi Linh 4 ward will be the locality with the largest natural area after the arrangement with 76.28 ^km2 ; Chi Linh 1 ward is the commune-level administrative unit with the largest population after the arrangement with 56,171 people.
