
At the ceremony, Giang Vo Ward People's Committee announced Decision No. 2217/QD-TTg dated October 7, 2025 of the Prime Minister on granting the Certificate of "Fatherland's Gratitude" to 54 martyrs of the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Construction and provinces: Dong Nai, Hung Yen, Khanh Hoa, Nghe An, Phu Tho, Quang Tri, Thanh Hoa and cities: Hanoi, Hue, Can Tho; including martyr Ngo Van Chinh.
Martyr Ngo Van Chinh (born in 1932, hometown in Hung Yen) was a technical officer, Deputy Captain of Company C251, Main Road and Bridge Team of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (now the Ministry of Construction). He was born into a family with a patriotic tradition. Following the sacred call of the Fatherland, he went on a mission to open the road at the Dien Bien Phu Campaign. He died on July 18, 1953, in Chien Thang commune, Son La province.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Vice Chairwoman of Giang Vo Ward People's Committee Le Thi Thu Ha sent her warm regards and wishes for health and happiness to the relatives of martyr Ngo Van Chinh; at the same time, expressed her wish that the family continue to promote the revolutionary tradition and actively participate in local movements.

On the occasion of awarding the Decision and Certificate of "The Fatherland's Gratitude" to the family of martyr Ngo Van Chinh, Vice Chairman of Giang Vo Ward People's Committee affirmed that the ward will continue to effectively implement the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for People with Meritorious Services to the Revolution; regularly review and propose to improve preferential policies in accordance with the current socio-economic development situation. Party committees and authorities at all levels will strengthen care for the lives of war invalids, families of martyrs, and people with meritorious services; fully and transparently implement policies and promote the restoration and embellishment of martyr memorials.
Vice Chairwoman of the Ward People's Committee Le Thi Thu Ha requested policy families, war invalids and people with meritorious services to continue promoting the spirit of "Bravery in combat - Exemplary in peace", strive to improve in life, actively participate in building a strong Party, government and organizations; contribute to maintaining national defense, security and developing the local economy and society.
