Nghia Lo Ward Farmers' Association: Promoting the emulation movement for good production and business

Nghia Lo Ward Farmers' Association currently has 23 branches with 2,226 members. Clearly identifying its pioneering role in economic development and new rural construction, over the years, the Association has always innovated its content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, taking the effectiveness and practical benefits of its members as the measure for all movements.

Mr. Do Tuan Anh - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Nghia Lo Ward shared: "We identify propaganda and mobilization as the key to changing the production mindset of members. The Association focuses on orienting farmers to develop the economy in accordance with the potential and planning of the locality, strongly shifting from small-scale production to commodity production, applying scientific and technological advances to agriculture".

The Association has mobilized members to convert crops and livestock, and put into production many high-yield, high-quality crop varieties such as high-quality rice models, mushroom cultivation, rootstock tomatoes, deer farming for antlers, commercial chicken farming, sows, breeding buffaloes, etc. Each model not only opens up a new direction but also contributes to changing the agricultural production mindset that has been ingrained in people's thinking and working methods in the past.

With the slogan "Farmers unite, innovate, integrate and develop", the Farmers' Association of Nghia Lo Ward has widely deployed the movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably". Since the beginning of 2025, the Association has coordinated with sectors, agencies and functional units to open 5 vocational training classes for 150 members, transferring techniques to more than 1,000 farmers...

Through this, people have access to new techniques from seed selection, pest control to product marketing skills. Not only stopping at developing household economy, the Association also focuses on building collective economy, mobilizing the establishment of 1 professional association with 16 members, 13 professional association groups with 82 members and 15 cooperative groups with more than 100 members. From there, a chain of production and product consumption links is formed, aiming at sustainable commodity development.

Ms. Ha Thi Chinh - Head of the Farmers' Association of Deu 2 residential group shared: "The Association always identifies emulation in production and good business as a driving force for members to improve. Every year, we launch registration, evaluate and reward at the end of the year. Many households achieve an income of 150 - 200 million VND/year after deducting expenses. Typical models are: community tourism business, growing trees for seeds, or forest planting cooperatives... These models not only bring in an income of 7 - 8 million VND/person/month but also create stable jobs for many local workers."

Thanks to that consensus, over 65% of farming households in Nghia Lo ward registered as good production and business households, of which over 35% achieved titles at all levels. In addition, each year the Association mobilizes over 1,000 working days, supports plants, seeds, and production materials to help poor households, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction in the area.

Along with economic development, the Farmers’ Association of Nghia Lo Ward also actively participates in the movement “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas”, associated with the movement “All people protect national security”. The colorful flower roads, the streets lit up at night, the garbage-free residential areas… are proof of the people’s contribution to building a civilized urban appearance.

Mr. Dong Van Duc - Farmers' Association of Tong Co 2 residential group said: "The Association always associates the movement of good production and business with preserving the landscape and living environment. We maintain the model of "Farmers self-managing environmental sanitation", the model of "Bright - green - clean - beautiful". Thanks to that, the residential area is increasingly greener and cleaner, and community awareness is also raised". From small actions, the movement has spread widely, becoming a beauty in the life of farmers in Nghia Lo ward.

Farmers' Association members have contributed over 500 working days, donated more than 5,000 square meters of land, and donated cash to renovate and repair roads and build cultural institutions - works imbued with humanity, contributing to changing the face of highland urban areas.

Not stopping at the achieved results, in the coming time, the Farmers' Association of Nghia Lo Ward will focus on developing effective economic models, mobilizing farmers to participate in developing collective economic forms, applying science and technology, especially 4.0 technology in production.

Mr. Do Tuan Anh - Chairman of the Ward Farmers' Association affirmed: "We will strengthen links with businesses to support output, product consumption, and improve the competitiveness of local agricultural products". That is not only the immediate goal but also the long-term vision: to build Nghia Lo farmers who are "Dynamic - Creative - Civilized - Modern", capable of mastering technology and adapting to the market.

Nghia Lo Ward today is taking on a new look. There, each farmer is not only a genuine worker but also a "creator", contributing to creating a colorful countryside of a civilized urban area. The emulation movement of good production and business of the Nghia Lo Ward Farmers' Association not only brings in income figures and emulation titles but also "sows" sustainable values ​​- the value of the spirit of work, of solidarity, sharing and the desire to rise up.
