According to the assessment at the meeting, storm No. 13 will still be strong when entering the Quang Ngai - Gia Lai area, with a very high risk of strong winds, heavy rain, rising sea levels, causing flooding, landslides and isolation. Storm response scenarios have been activated to the maximum by localities.
According to reports, as of this morning, more than 61,400 vessels at sea have been called and guided, and no vessels are currently in the danger zone. The anchoring of vessels has been basically completed. 6 provinces and cities from Da Nang to Lam Dong have issued a sea ban.

The evacuation of people in dangerous areas was also urgently implemented by localities, in which the evacuation scenario of the three provinces of Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa was more than 126,000 households. Food, provisions, and medicine were prepared enough for the evacuated people.
A representative of the Ministry of National Defense said that units strictly maintain civil defense duty at all levels; ready forces and means to respond to and overcome the consequences of Storm No. 13 and the floods caused by the storm. The force includes 268,255 officers, soldiers and militia (Military Region 4: 117,860 people, Military Region 5: 45,935 people); 6,273 vehicles (cars: 3,755; special vehicles: 520; ships: 646; boats of all kinds: 1,790; airplanes: 6). The Air Defense - Air Force, Corps 18 is ready to mobilize helicopters for search and rescue and transport food and necessities to isolated areas...
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested localities to strengthen and allocate forces, vehicles and equipment to vulnerable areas, be ready for rescue work, and pay special attention to areas that are easily isolated. The top priority is solutions to ensure people's safety before strong storms.

The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged the highest level of storm preparedness by local people and authorities. At the same time, he requested that absolutely no one stay on boats and aquaculture areas when the storm hits. He requested that units of the Military Region and Corps maintain strict duty schedules, be ready with rescue forces and means, and closely coordinate with localities in evacuating people, shoring up houses, and protecting barracks and warehouses.
Right before the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and leaders of Gia Lai province directly inspected the storm shelter area for boats in Quy Nhon ward.
