DNO - On July 27th, at the Lien Chieu District Administrative Center Square, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in coordination with the Lien Chieu District People's Committee, organized the opening ceremony of the exhibition and introduction program for Nam O fish sauce, a characteristic OCOP product of 2024.
The program aims to introduce and promote Nam O fish sauce products, as well as the potential and strengths of typical products of Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city, to neighboring localities in Quang Nam province.
In addition, this is an opportunity for the Nam O Fish Sauce Village Association, cooperatives, businesses, and OCOP (One Commune One Product) entities to exchange ideas and promote their traditional craft products, agricultural products, safe agricultural food products, and regional specialties to tourists and local people.

At the same time, the activity also contributes to supporting and connecting the formation of a chain from production to consumption, and developing sustainably OCOP products, specialty products, and typical rural industrial products.
Therefore, this program will help raise awareness and build consumer confidence in the quality and brand of Vietnamese products, effectively implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

At the event, many businesses and product owners expressed their joy and pride in being able to introduce their local products and strengths to tourists and residents.
Ms. Tran Thi Xe, a member of the Nam O fish sauce craft village, shared that in addition to introducing the unique products of the Nam O coastal region, the event also helps promote and facilitate trade, linking agricultural and food products between Da Nang and Quang Nam provinces.
Ms. Nguyen Kieu Anh, a member of the Go Noi Green Agricultural Cooperative (Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province), said that this is an opportunity for her and other businesses selling agricultural products from Quang Nam province to get closer to the people and tourists in Da Nang.
The program takes place over three days, from March 27th to July 29th, with 60 booths (30 from Da Nang and 30 from Quang Nam province). It is expected to promote the development of agricultural products and contribute to building a large-scale, high-value-added agricultural sector.
Besides trade promotion activities, there are also accompanying events that foster connection and a better understanding of local characteristics and products, such as: the Women's Network program; support for women's entrepreneurship, innovation, and green transformation in 2024; and the "Choose the Right Price" program.
