Quang Nam upgrades and expands 23 radio stations applying information technology by 2025

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch proposing the upgrading and expansion of 23 radio stations applying information technology - telecommunications in 6 districts and cities: Bac Tra My, Nam Tra My, Dong Giang, Tay Giang, Nam Giang and Hoi An. This is the content of Sub-project 1 - Information poverty reduction project in the National Target Program.

The Provincial People's Council agreed to upgrade and expand 23 radio stations using information and telecommunications technology in the above localities with a total estimated cost of more than 5.5 billion VND. The Department of Science and Technology was assigned to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of the above districts and cities to implement the project, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested relevant units to review and arrange the installation of loudspeaker clusters in accordance with the actual conditions of each locality, and at the same time coordinate with the project to arrange commune-level administrative units to promote long-term effectiveness. The management and use of funds for purchasing equipment must be for the right purpose, comply with financial norms, ensure savings, efficiency and make payments in accordance with regulations.

This project is expected to strengthen facilities, improve the operational efficiency of radio stations, and contribute to reducing information poverty in localities in the province.
