After the merger, hundreds of officials, civil servants and public employees from Kon Tum province (old) were transferred to work at the administrative-political center of Quang Ngai province. The arrangement of official housing was basically completed, but problems arose in operation and management.
According to the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, from July 1, Quang Ngai and Kon Tum merged into a new administrative unit called Quang Ngai province. Hundreds of cadres, civil servants and public employees from Kon Tum were transferred to the provincial center, of which about 150 people are under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
To ensure living conditions, the Provincial Political School has coordinated with units to review needs, and the Provincial Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works has basically arranged enough public housing at the school's dormitory.
This is a newly built block, fully equipped, meeting living needs.
However, the implementation process still has problems, such as: determining the assigned subjects, specific allocation for each case, funding sources for operation management, payment of electricity, water, Internet and direct management responsibilities...
These small problems directly affect the common work and need to be resolved. At the meeting with departments and branches, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that it is necessary to soon complete the management and operation mechanism of public housing so that officials and civil servants can live with peace of mind and focus on common work.
Mr. Sam requested the units to continue to coordinate, review the reality, build feasible plans, and clearly define responsibilities. At the same time, make long-term plans for management and operation.
Many officials said that having public housing helps reduce the pressure of rent costs, creating initial stability. Everyone hopes that the arising problems will be resolved so that they can stabilize their housing and work with peace of mind after the province's merger.
Not only solving the living needs, the arrangement of public housing also has the meaning of creating trust and retaining cadres after the merger. This is an important condition for effectively implementing programs and policies in the area.
The merger of two provinces opens up development opportunities, but also poses challenges in managing the apparatus and stabilizing the lives of officials. Arranging official housing is not only a matter of accommodation but also related to work efficiency, psychology and trust of the team after the merger.
