Quang Tri: Arrested a subject transporting 30,000 drug pills

On the afternoon of October 23, information from the Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department said that this unit had just coordinated with the Quang Tri Provincial Police to successfully fight and destroy the drug case codenamed MT345, arresting two related subjects.

Initial information, at Km 40+492 on National Highway 9 (Hamlet 2, Krong Klang town, Dakrong district, Quang Tri province), the Drug Control and Prevention Team, Quang Tri Provincial Customs Department coordinated with professional units of Quang Tri Provincial Police to chase and stop a motorbike without a license plate.

Authorities arrested the subject Tai and the evidence.

Upon discovering the police, the motorcyclist, Bui Cong Tai (23 years old, residing in block 4, Khe Sanh town, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province) tried to flee, but was caught.

When checking Tai, they found nearly 30,000 synthetic drug pills. At the investigation agency, Tai confessed that he had been hired to transport the drugs for 20 million VND.

Afterwards, the authorities continued to arrest the related subject, Dang Quang Nghia (24 years old, residing in Vinh Dong hamlet, Lao Bao town, Huong Hoa district).

Currently, the case is being investigated and clarified by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Quang Tri Provincial Police.
