According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Lam Dong currently has abundant mineral resources, especially bauxite (accounting for 79.7% of the country's reserves) and titanium ore (accounting for 83%). The whole province has over 1,030 mineral mining areas, with 226 valid mining licenses.

In the first 7 months of 2025, the province has issued 5 new mining licenses and is speeding up the auction of mining rights in 27 areas. It is expected that by the end of the year, 60 areas will be auctioned, meeting the material needs for the province's socio -economic development.
The province also focuses on providing materials for key projects such as the Tan Phu - Bao Loc and Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressways, ensuring compliance with the Law on Geology and Minerals.

In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen requested departments, branches and localities to study and put the Law on Geology and Minerals into practice.
In particular, he requested to enhance the management role of localities, remove planning obstacles, and adjust and supplement planning. Departments and branches should promptly review and propose solutions to overlapping planning, and emphasize that mineral exploitation management and the fight against illegal mining must be prevented from the beginning, early, and from afar.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested a review of adjacent river basins to have effective coordination management regulations.
The province will publicize mining plans, limit the "ask - give" mechanism, strengthen inspection, supervision, and support facilities to prevent mineral loss. In particular, it is necessary to clearly define the functions and roles of each department and sector to properly implement the law, support businesses, and resolutely push back illegal mining.
