Determination and efforts towards the goal of "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses"
This is a new house handed over under the program of "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" to Mr. Tran Dinh Hung's family in Chinh Gian ward, Thanh Khe district. Mr. Hung's family is a near-poor household in the ward, and he himself is suffering from a serious illness. Due to extremely difficult economic conditions, Mr. Hung has had to live a precarious life in a makeshift, rickety wooden house for many years. On the day he received the new, spacious and solid house, Mr. Hung could not hide his emotion when his dream, which seemed so far away, has now become a reality.
Sharing the joy of a new home, Ms. Le Thi Hong, in Thuan Phuoc ward, Hai Chau district, no longer has to worry and be anxious every rainy and stormy season. The seriously degraded level 4 house has been repaired to be spacious and solid, a practical gift for Ms. Le Thi Hong to feel secure and stabilize her life.
Sticking to the locality... reviewing each case... quickly supporting resources... That is the spirit of urgent and thorough work of all levels and functional branches in the city when starting to implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. By the end of March 2025, the City People's Committee had approved the budget and supplemented funding for the People's Committees of districts to implement the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses with a total amount of 30,340 billion VND. Localities have disbursed 16.1 billion VND.
In addition to the state budget, the contribution of the social community also contributes significantly to the implementation of the elimination of temporary houses. Through many different forms, from direct support to households, to contribution of construction days, design and construction support... After more than 2 months of calling, up to now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City has also received contributions from units, businesses, religions... with a total amount of more than 7.7 billion VND. With the cooperation and participation of the entire political system, it is hoped that the goal of completing the elimination of 2,043 temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 in the city will "reach the finish line" ahead of schedule.
