Launching of APEC Vietnam International Commercial Arbitration Center - Da Nang Branch

DNO - On the morning of November 18, in Da Nang, the APEC Vietnam International Commercial Arbitration Center held the launching ceremony of the APEC Vietnam International Commercial Arbitration Center - Da Nang Branch and the Workshop of the APEC Vietnam International Commercial Arbitration Center - Da Nang Branch.

The event marks an important development step in APEC Vietnam's network expansion strategy, bringing commercial arbitration and mediation services closer to businesses in the Central region.

At the same time, accompany Da Nang in the process of building an International Financial Center and developing the digital economy according to the direction of the National Assembly and the Government.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Thanh Hong emphasized that in the context of deep integration, trade and investment transactions are increasingly diverse and complex, the need for a mechanism to resolve disputes quickly, securely and in accordance with international practices is increasing, commercial arbitration and mediation are becoming an inevitable trend in major economic and financial centers.

Da Nang currently plays the role of economic locomotive of the Central region and is being oriented to develop into an international financial center according to Resolution No. 222/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly. This requires the presence of professional, independent legal institutions to support businesses and protect investment activities.

Therefore, APEC Vietnam Branch in Da Nang was established to expand the Center's operations to the Central region; support businesses in accessing modern dispute resolution methods; contribute to building a transparent, safe and investor-friendly business environment.

The conference program at the launch ceremony is a comprehensive academic and practical forum, focusing on key topics related to investment attraction, trade dispute resolution and innovation requirements in the digital economy.

The discussion contents include: mechanisms and policies to attract foreign investment associated with Resolution No. 222/2025/QH15 on the construction of the Da Nang International Financial Center; overview and comparison of methods of resolving international trade disputes; key issues in intellectual property disputes; analysis of functions, tasks and methods of operation of the APEC Vietnam International Commercial Arbitration Center; requirements in training and developing high-quality human resources to serve the digital transformation process and digital economy.
