According to Official Dispatch No. 797/UBND-KTN dated February 28, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, before June 30, 2023, the People's Committee of Viet Yen district will focus on directing relevant agencies and units to coordinate with the People's Committee of Quang Chau commune to thoroughly handle 12 cases of violations regarding wharves, loading yards, and material trading.
According to Mr. Ngo Cao Thang, Vice Chairman of Quang Chau Commune People's Committee, these are wharves and yards that have not been licensed to operate and are on the list of violators.
Immediately after receiving the official dispatch from the Provincial People's Committee and the plan from the Chairman of the Viet Yen District People's Committee, the Commune People's Committee completed the Steering Committee and developed a plan to handle each specific case. At the same time, it coordinated with the Irrigation Sub-Department and the District Economic Department to inspect the implementation and make a record of the current situation for each case.
“Before June 30, after inspection, the wharves and yards on the list of those to be handled voluntarily lowered their loads and stopped operations. In order to avoid re-offending, in recent days, the Commune People's Committee has organized to fill in the slopes, erect barriers on the exit and entry roads, and hang signs prohibiting operations at 12 wharves and yards. By July 3, this was completed. In the coming time, we will coordinate with the Viet Yen Dike Management Department and the District Economic Department to strengthen supervision. If these wharves and yards re-offend, the locality will not support the completion of procedures to request operating licenses,” said Mr. Ngo Cao Thang.
