Over the past few days, the first Galaxy Z Fold7 models have begun to be delivered to customers since the product was introduced by Samsung at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9. However, a Reddit user named SlowbroLife shared his less-than-expected experience with this expensive Samsung smartphone.

Based on the post, the Galaxy Z Fold7's screen cracked as soon as he made the first fold after opening the box. Specifically, everything was normal until this person opened the box and peeled off the protective film. Unfortunately, the incident happened shortly after. The image shows that the phone's screen appears to be safe, but the protective film is not. It is known that the device uses a new ultra-thin glass that is thicker than the previous version, but the fact that it has a serious problem is really remarkable.

SlowbroLife said he “heard a cracking sound” when he first folded the Galaxy Z Fold7. When he opened the device, he discovered that the protective film was damaged. The user immediately contacted the nearest service center and received dedicated support from the staff, including arranging a replacement device.

The issue is said to be quite rare, and the poster says Samsung is investigating the matter. Although the Galaxy Z Fold7 is breaking sales records in key markets and becoming the best-selling foldable product in its launch period, even surpassing the cheaper Galaxy Z Flip7, this issue may cause many users to worry.
