Samsung Cloud Platform Zone in Samsung SDS Public-Private Partnership Cloud Center
This year, Samsung SDS has won bids for a series of key projects such as: "Building a common artificial intelligence platform for the entire Korean Government"; "Smart work management platform" of the Korean Ministry of Public Administration and Safety; "Big data platform of the National Assembly (AI National Assembly)"; "Upgrading the information management system" of the Korean National Police Agency.
The "Building a Common Platform for Whole -Government Artificial Intelligence" project, which was recently signed this month, aims to develop a dedicated AI platform standard for the Korean government, enabling 700,000 civil servants of Korean ministries and agencies to use AI-generated services conveniently and securely.
Samsung SDS will provide all AI resources such as computing devices, shared data, development and operating environments, etc. to support government agencies and local governments in building AI services.
To do this, Samsung SDS plans to provide the generative AI service platform FabriX as a SaaS (software as a service) through the Samsung SCP (Samsung Cloud Platform) cloud platform zone in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center in Daegu City.
Previously, Samsung SDS also won the bid for the project to build the "Smart Work Management Platform" - a system connected to the super AI common platform of the entire Korean Government.
This project aims to comprehensively improve the way civil servants work by integrating the latest technologies such as generative AI, web office, collaboration and communication tools, and AI-powered administrative support services.
In particular, functions such as email, messaging, and online conferencing, which were previously operated separately in the Onnara system, will be merged to create a digital workspace that integrates AI collaboration and document editing capabilities.
Contribute to the formation of the "AI Parliament"
In addition, in February this year, Samsung SDS also won the bid for Phase 1 of the "Construction of a National Assembly Big Data Platform (AI Parliament)" project, with the aim of transforming the Korean National Assembly into an "AI Parliament", thereby innovating the model of supporting legislative activities and agendas.
Samsung SDS will transform massive data inside and outside the National Assembly for AI to exploit, and build a big data platform that provides integrated information, helping parliamentarians work more effectively.
This month, Samsung SDS also won the bid for the "Upgrading Information Management System (PORMS)" project of the National Police Agency.

The PPP cloud computing model allows cloud service providers (CSPs) to lease the Daegu Center – owned by the National Information Resources Management Institute (under the Ministry of Public Administration and Safety) – to operate cloud services for critical information systems that require high security.
Based on the cloud platform of Samsung SCP built in Daegu Center, Samsung SDS has won the bid and is operating many projects such as: Onnara system of the Ministry of Public Administration and Safety; "Smart fire training and management system" of Gyeonggi Provincial Fire Service College; ISMP project of new generation local administrative system of Korea Local Information Development Institute;
Samsung SDS's SCP Zone is operated with a dedicated infrastructure for government agencies and security systems, with physical separation between the internet, administrative network and public network.
In particular, Samsung SDS also provides GPUaaS (GPU as a Service), providing optimal cloud services for administrative agencies and the public sector that want to use generative AI. Some government agencies have begun to apply SCP and GPUaaS to innovate public service operations based on generative AI.
