The Department of Food Safety ( Ministry of Health ) has just sent an official dispatch to the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene of Hanoi, requesting urgent inspection, verification of production activities and sampling of some weight loss products advertised by Ngan 98 that are causing a stir in public opinion, including the product X1000, weight loss pills X3 (Super Detox X3) and X7 Plus.

According to information from the Food Safety Department, among the above products, only X7 Plus has received a product declaration at the Department, with code 5297/2021/DKSP issued on June 14, 2021. This product is announced and responsible by ZUBU Trading and Service Company Limited (located in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City), manufactured at Nanotesla High-Tech Pharmaceutical Production Company Limited (Dan Phuong District, Hanoi ).

Notably, the Food Safety Department confirmed that it did not issue any advertising content certification for the above products.

However, through online review, the Department discovered that some websites are still selling this product and advertising it in violation of regulations. Advertising the product causes misunderstanding about the product's uses, advertising incorrectly with the product declaration registration certificate, advertising the product as a medicine... The Department has collected sufficient evidence.

Based on current regulations, the Department requests the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety and Hanoi Department of Food Safety and Hygiene to conduct field inspections, trace the origin of the products and take samples for testing to determine prohibited substances (if any) for handling according to regulations.

The investigation and handling results must be reported to the department before May 31 for synthesis and handling in accordance with legal regulations.

I checked the company but it was a 'ghost address'

Recently, Vo Thi Ngoc Ngan - DJ Ngan 98 is one of the faces with a large number of followers, often livestreaming and posting product introductions with attractive language, even committing to effectiveness after only a few days of use.

After that, she got into trouble when she was accused of selling weight loss products containing banned substances. Through posting videos on her Facebook and TikTok pages with a blue tick, she updated the developments related to being accused of selling weight loss products containing banned substances.

Accordingly, Ngan 98 said she worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety on May 22.

At the meeting, her side provided complete and detailed legal documents about the product, including declaration documents, production contracts, product testing certificates, value-added invoices (red invoices), and certificates of eligibility for production.

This DJ affirmed that the documents proving the weight loss products (X7 Plus, Super Detox X3 and X1000) all ensure legal standards, transparency from origin, invoices and documents.

At the same time, the department also reviewed the authentic test results from licensed centers, which were transparent and fully informed.

However, in a new inspection, the authorities in Ho Chi Minh City went to the company address listed on the packaging of the weight loss product advertised by DJ Ngan 98 to check and verify, but still could not find it. In addition, information about the place of production and trade of this product is also vague.
