Landslides ate deep into the mainland, breaking and breaking the concrete road from the Trung Duong service area - Duc Loi Border Station.

According to statistics, the length of the landslide is up to 1 km, the width is about 40 - 50 meters. Notably, the landslide also penetrated deep into the mainland, causing the concrete road connecting Trung Duong Service Area - Duc Loi Border Guard Station to collapse, with deep gaps; some sections are broken, breaking into large pieces...

Mr. Tran Het, An Chuan village, reported that landslides have been occurring for many years. However, after the recent storm No. 13, the damage has become more and more serious. Living close to the sea, his family is always worried that their house will be swept away by strong waves at any time.

Mr. Nguyen Cong Duc said that he had saved up all his life to build this house. However, he had to flee the storm before he could settle down. He hopes that the government will soon pay attention to investing in building a solid embankment so that the residents can feel secure and have a stable life.

Vice Chairman of Long Phung Commune People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Tuan informed that the landslide is very complicated. In response to the above situation, the commune has put up warning signs and arranged regular forces to guide people and vehicles to ensure safety.

Along with that, the commune directed specialized departments to deploy temporary handling and remedial measures such as leveling the route, reinforcing with sandbags, rocks, etc.; at the same time, maintaining the "4 on-site" motto to proactively respond when bad situations occur. The commune has also prepared a plan to evacuate all 400 households in An Chuan and Ky Tan villages to safer new places if landslides recur.

According to Mr. Tuan, the coastline of about 2 km through Long Phung commune has a high population density. This area also concentrates many important traffic infrastructure works. Therefore, in the long term, the commune proposed that the competent authority soon allocate a budget of about 200 billion VND to urgently build a solid sea dike, like a "screen" to prevent landslides.
