Suspected bomb found in Tan Lai stream, Lam Dong

On the morning of November 13, the Military Command of Tuy Phong commune (Lam Dong) said it had discovered an object suspected to be a bomb left over from the war in the Tan Lai stream area.

The incident was discovered by Mr. Cao Cuong (born in 1994, residing in Hamlet 2, Tuy Phong Commune) at Tan Lai Stream (Hamlet 2, Tuy Phong Commune) on November 12. After receiving the information, the Commune Military Command sent a working group to the scene to survey and conduct a ban on dangerous sea and cordon off the area.

The survey results have discovered an object suspected to be a bomb left over from the war; the type, serial number, and symbol are currently undetermined. The object is heavily rusted, the size of the object suspected to be a bomb is 90cm long, 30cm in diameter, the tail is broken, measuring 15x20cm. The object weighs about 80 - 90kg. The area discovered is right at the Tan Lai stream rock field.

Realizing that the object was suspected to be a bomb near the people's production area, which could endanger people's lives and property, the Military Command of Tuy Phong commune requested the Defense Command of Region 5 - Phan Thiet to send specialized officers to survey and collect it, ensuring safety for people around the labor and production area.
