Ceremony of painting milestone 666 of Thua Thien Hue Armed Forces

Morning of December 13, At landmark 666 (A Dot - Ta Vang), the army and border guards of Thua Thien Hue and the provinces of Sekong and Salavan (Laos) organized joint patrols and painted the landmark at Landmark 666. This activity aims to affirm that the border landmark is a construction that affirms the territorial sovereignty of the country. The flag-raising and painting of the landmark on the patrol route aims to demonstrate the sacred and inviolable sovereignty. The joint patrol aims to directly manage and protect the border at the grassroots level of Vietnam and Laos; coordinate to inspect border signs and national border markers between the two countries.

Next, at Economic - Defense Group 92, the medical force of the military and border guards of Thua Thien Hue organized medical examinations, provided free medicine and gave gifts to the people of Ca Lo village, Sekong province. During the examination and treatment process, the team of doctors and military medical staff from the two countries' armies examined, screened, detected common diseases, and communicated knowledge about health care, protection, and disease prevention to people in the border area...

Previously, on the evening of December 12, the forces organized a Border Friendship Exchange: "The loyal friendship between Vietnam and Laos border". Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh affirmed: In the hearts of every Vietnamese person in general, as well as in the hearts of every cadre, People and Armed Forces of Thua Thien Hue province in particular, President Ho Chi Minh's advice will forever be engraved: "Vietnam - Laos, our two countries / The love is deeper than the Red River and Mekong River". No matter how difficult or arduous, the cadres, People and Armed Forces of the province are determined to do their best to preserve and promote the special relationship between the two peoples, the two Parties, the two States of Vietnam - Laos in general and between the armed forces of the two sides in particular.

On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank and Viettel - Hue Branch presented 40 gifts to disadvantaged families in Salavan, Sekong - Laos and A Luoi district with a total value of over 40 million VND.
