The People's Committee of Ha Dong district has just approved the results of the architectural design competition for the Cultural - Entertainment and Sports Park project located in Ha Cau and Kien Hung wards.

According to the winning architectural design, the park will have four squares located at the main gates.

Specifically, the central square is 17,300 square meters wide, representing the culture of the Doai region, showing the legend of Son Tinh - Thuy Tinh, the love of people for the country, for survival. The square's background is painted with images of nine-tusked elephants, nine-spurred chickens, and nine-red-haired horses.

The festival square is 11,470 square meters wide, and is where entertainment activities are held. In the campus, there will be fairy gardens, badminton courts, shuttlecock courts, etc. The layout of the yard is in many concentric circles, created by green strips and colored material strips.

The 15,500m2 Memory Square can be a place to honor the country's talents. The center of the square is a silk strip symbol shaped like the royal decree of King Le Nhan Tong sending the famous Hoang Trinh Thanh (from Da Sy village, now in Kien Hung ward, Ha Dong district) as an envoy to the Ming Dynasty from 1443 to 1460, who made many contributions to the nation.

The 8,200m2 sports square is stylized with strong curves, combined with the colors of the 5 continents (5 Olympic rings). This will help the park not be confused with any other parks in Vietnam as well as in the world .

Along with 4 squares, the park also has many typical gardens such as traditional garden; Van Phuc silk weaving village garden, Chuong hat making village, Da Sy blacksmith garden; Japanese garden designed in a quiet green area, next to the chess hut; English garden with large lawns for relaxation...

At the question and answer session of the Hanoi People's Council on July 3, Ms. Can Thi Viet Ha - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Dong District said that the district has completed site clearance of 52 hectares, and is expected to implement the project in 2 phases.

In which, phase 1 will complete technical infrastructure such as leveling the ground, digging lake embankments, supplying water for fire prevention and fighting, and some public items serving the people.

Phase 2 can use public investment capital or call for socialization for the remaining items such as the gymnasium and the sun wheel.
