Wishing to leave a special mark with her 8-month-old daughter, Ms. Tran Thi Yen Nhi (born in 1990, Binh Duong ) carried her "little angel" up to the stage to receive her pharmacist degree at the graduation ceremony.

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Song - Principal of Eastern University of Technology commented: "Yen Nhi is a typical representative of the school's spirit of overcoming difficulties in studying" .

To be able to hold a pharmacy degree with a good grade, Ms. Yen Nhi leaves home at 5 am every weekend, traveling about 70 kilometers to go to school. Especially when she was pregnant, her health somewhat declined due to the after-effects of COVID-19. However, she still diligently went to school, not missing a single day.

She humorously said that during the last months of her pregnancy, she always went to school in a state of being able to "burst the jar" at any moment. On the day of the final exam of her last subject, she had just given birth by cesarean section 6 days ago and had been discharged from the hospital for 1 day. The wound had not yet been stitched, each sharp pain made her "tremble".

Nhi took a risk by taking painkillers so as not to miss the opportunity to graduate on time. Her family tried to stop her from making such a bold decision. However, her strong determination convinced her husband to support her and drive her to school.

"That day I had classes in the morning and a final exam in the afternoon. The painkillers only work for a certain amount of time, so in the afternoon I felt the pain clearly while sitting down to take the exam. I could only encourage myself to suppress the pain and complete the exam ," Nhi recalled.

Going to school while raising a child is a difficult journey. Nhi has to ensure her work progress, focus on her studies and not forget the goal of breastfeeding her child. Looking back, she feels like a "superwoman".

She proudly said: "Although it was hard, mother and child still arrived on time. If you go, you will get there, as long as you don't stop ."
