On April 13, the Hanoi Department of Health reported that during the week (from April 4 to April 11), the city recorded 212 measles cases in 30 districts, towns and cities (an increase of 9 cases compared to the previous week).
From the beginning of 2025 to now, Hanoi city has recorded 1,665 cases of measles in 30/30 districts, towns and cities; while in the same period in 2024 there were no cases.
Patients were distributed by age group, of which 12% were under 6 months old; 15% were 6-8 months old; 10% were 9-11 months old; 22% were 1-5 years old; 14% were 6-10 years old; 27% were over 10 years old.
The Hanoi Center for Disease Control stated that the number of measles cases has not shown a downward trend, mainly in people who have not been vaccinated or have not been fully vaccinated. It is forecasted that the number of cases will continue to increase and tend to increase in the group over 6 years old.
The Hanoi Center for Disease Control recommends that medical centers in districts, towns and cities continue to review and organize measles vaccination for children who are subject to the campaign, focusing on children aged 6 to under 9 months and children aged 1-10 who have not received 2 doses of measles vaccine.../.
