The Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City has just reported on the preparations and opening of the new school year 2024-2025. Accordingly, the opening ceremony of the school year consists of two parts: ceremony and festival.

The ceremony will be held in a short spirit, maximum 60 minutes. The festival will take place after the ceremony to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for students on the first day of the new school year.

Accordingly, the opening ceremony will be short, about 45 - 60 minutes. After the ceremony, the school will organize a festival to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for students. Each level of education will have its own program and characteristics.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, each level of education will have its own program and characteristics. For preschool education, the "Happy Children Go to School" Festival will be organized, focusing on diverse and rich activities suitable for each unit; For general education (primary, secondary, high school), 100% of students will attend the Opening Ceremony. The school return date for students at other levels in the city is on Monday, August 26. Schools will simultaneously open the new school year on September 5 and ensure 18 weeks of actual study in semester 1 and 17 weeks of actual study in semester 2.
