After a long period of abandonment and waste, Nghi An Secondary School's second facility (Vinh Phu ward, old Vinh city) has officially come into operation since the beginning of December.

During the first class, the eager and excited atmosphere was evident on the faces of teachers and students when studying in new, spacious and modern classrooms.

Previously, Dan Tri newspaper published an article “A school built for nearly 23 billion VND is abandoned, what does the principal say?”, reflecting the state of the first facility being degraded, students having to jostle while the second facility, which invested tens of billions of VND, is not being used. The article received great attention from parents and local authorities.

Immediately after the information was reported, Vinh Phu Ward People's Committee quickly took action, surveyed and worked with the school's board of directors to find a solution to put the second facility into operation, avoiding wasting public works.

After many steps of reviewing the facilities and teaching conditions, on December 1, the second facility officially opened to welcome students.

On the first day of the move, hundreds of students expressed their joy when entering the new school, with spacious and well-equipped classrooms. The classrooms are equipped with modern facilities such as computers, large screens, lighting systems, fans and all necessary teaching equipment.

The campus has also been cleaned, the road leading to the school has been cleared, ensuring traffic safety for students.

In particular, at the new facility, the school also has a separate medical room, equipped with medicine cabinets, hospital beds and first aid equipment, to ensure the health of students throughout their studies.

Ms. Le Viet Hong, Principal of Nghi An Secondary School, shared: "Currently, the school arranges for grade 7 students to study music , fine arts, local education and enhanced English at campus 2.

Grade 8 and 9 students will also study intensive English here. The timetable will be adjusted appropriately so that teachers and students do not have to move between the two campuses during the same class session.”

According to the school, the opening of the second facility will not only help reduce the workload of the first facility but also create a better learning environment for students, meeting the requirements of educational innovation. Many parents expressed their joy that their children will be studying at the new, spacious and safe school.

Local representatives said that in the coming time, they will continue to propose expanding the road leading to the school to ensure safety for students, especially during rush hour.

The timely intervention of the government and the education sector has helped a project worth tens of billions of dong to be put into proper use, contributing to improving the quality of local education and avoiding budget waste.
