However, this year, Nguyen Anh Tu's position has gradually changed due to the rise of Dinh Anh Hoang (Cong An T&T). In the final match on the evening of May 26, the player born in 2001 showed his superiority over his senior.

He showed confidence with his high-speed attacks and very quick defense. Dinh Anh Hoang's ability to read situations well many times caused Anh Tu to lose points.

In the first set, the younger player won with a big difference of 11-2. In the second set, Anh Tu played with determination, boldly attacked and won 11-5, equalizing the score 1-1.

However, that was the best the defending champion could do. Dinh Anh Hoang regained his confidence very quickly, creating tense, suffocating situations.

In the next three games, he won 11-9, 11-7, 11-6, thereby ending the match with a 4-1 victory.

This result helped Dinh Anh Hoang dethrone Nguyen Anh Tu to win the men's singles championship of the 2025 National Table Tennis Championship. Previously, he also won the championship with Cong An T&T in the men's team event.

As for Anh Tu, he had to accept empty-handedness despite winning many titles in this playground.

In the women's singles, Nguyen Thi Nga (Hanoi) defeated Bui Ngoc Lan ( Hai Duong - Long Hai) 4-0 to win the title. The player from Ho Chi Minh City who won the championship last year, Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh, only won the bronze medal this year.
