Exciting sampan racing to celebrate Long An Liberation Day

On April 24, Long An organized the 3rd sampan racing tournament on Bao Dinh river, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Long An province's liberation day and the Southern liberation and national reunification day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The tournament was held from Bao Dinh bridge to Duc bridge, ward 1, Tan An city, gathering armed forces units and districts, towns and cities in the province to participate, with the following events: men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's team, women's team and mixed team.

As a result, Thanh Hoa district unit won first prize overall with 2 gold medals for women's doubles and mixed team, 2 silver medals for women's team and mixed doubles, and 1 bronze medal for men's team.

Long An Provincial Military Command won second place overall with 2 gold medals in men's doubles and men's team. Moc Hoa District won third place overall with 1 gold medal in mixed doubles, 2 silver medals in women's doubles and mixed doubles.

In addition to the sampan racing, Long An also has other activities such as the Golf Tournament to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. Tourist attractions , relics and destinations will be renovated and opened to welcome visitors during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

The two main activities on this occasion are the 50th Anniversary of Long An Province Liberation Day and the Southern Liberation Day, National Reunification Day, which are solemnly held, and the Fair to exhibit the province's socio-economic achievements, national defense and security, and political system building after 50 years.
