DTO - In recent days, nearly 200 excellent billiard players from 17 of the strongest provinces, cities, and industries in the country have gathered in Cao Lanh City ( Dong Thap Province) to compete in the 2025 National Petanque (petanque) Championship.

The National Petanque Championship is part of the high-performance sports competition system and is held annually to evaluate the quality of professional petanque training at units and localities in the country. At the same time, it is an opportunity for petanque players to compete, accumulate experience, perfect techniques and tactics, thereby selecting excellent athletes to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games and upcoming international tournaments.

Many strong units in petanque in the country such as: Army, Tra Vinh , Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Soc Trang and host Dong Thap... all participated, promising an exciting and dramatic season with 10 sets of Medals (including the following events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, men's technical, women's technical, mixed doubles, men's trios and women's trios). Through the singles and doubles events, most of the matches from the group stage to the knockout round took place attractively, creating interesting competitions.
