Exciting competition to build new rural areas

(Baohatinh.vn) - Localities of Ha Tinh are actively carrying out many tasks in building new rural areas, contributing to spreading the emulation movement to welcome the Provincial Party Congress.

Taking advantage of the past weekend, Cam Due commune organized a launching ceremony for the construction of a smart residential area in Trung Thanh village. Nearly 200 cadres, members, and union members actively participated in the construction and improvement of the new rural criteria. On the first day of the launch, the locality completed nearly 200m of sidewalks and around the volleyball court, built drainage ditches at the soccer field; improved many household gardens, dredged internal drainage ditches, and classified and treated waste.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong - Vice Chairman of Cam Due Commune People's Committee said: "After the merger, Cam Due commune has 23/26 villages meeting the standards of a model new-style rural residential area. This is the foundation for the locality to continue building smart residential areas, improving the quality of new-style rural criteria. On the occasion of welcoming the 20th Provincial Party Congress, the Congress of the Fatherland Front and political organizations at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term, the commune launched a peak emulation campaign to build new-style rural areas from September 20 to October 20. After the launching ceremony in Trung Thanh village, the villages in the area simultaneously launched, implementing many specific tasks, consolidating the criteria. The goal by the end of 2025 is for the commune to reach the model new-style rural finish line; Tran Phu, Dai Tang, My Yen villages meet the standards of a model new-style rural residential area and Trung Thanh village meets the standards of a smart residential area".

In Son Trung village, more than 200 cadres, members and people took part in tasks such as renovating mixed gardens, preparing land for lemongrass planting, and dismantling unused outbuildings.

Not only Cam Due commune, Cam Hung commune is also implementing a peak emulation campaign to build new rural areas to achieve achievements in celebration of major political events that are about to take place in the province. In Son Trung village, the launching ceremony attracted more than 200 cadres, members and people to carry out tasks such as: renovating mixed gardens, hoeing weeds to prepare land for lemongrass planting, dismantling unused auxiliary works, clearing and trimming nearly 300m of green fences, cleaning 100m of roads, building 200m of sidewalks and alleys... The atmosphere was enthusiastic, everyone was aiming to beautify each road and corner of the garden.

To celebrate the province's important political events, Mai Phu commune is implementing the emulation movement "60 peak days of building new rural areas" (from now until November 24) to mobilize maximum people's strength and resources, speed up the progress of upgrading infrastructure, beautifying the landscape, creating a spacious appearance, and at the same time spreading the spirit of solidarity, creativity and community responsibility.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bac - Vice Chairman of Mai Phu Commune People's Committee said: "In this peak campaign, the villages focus on implementing a number of key tasks such as: upgrading and restoring traffic routes; building and dredging canals and drainage ditches in residential areas according to the cement support mechanism; installing lighting lines for daily life and security; building and completing facilities at the village cultural house to serve cultural, sports and community needs. In addition, each village will also establish a Zalo group to manage, transmit information, receive and respond to opinions and suggestions from the people. The movement to build new rural areas is a regular task in localities, but on the occasion of celebrating major events of the province, this activity is even more meaningful, demonstrating the people's trust and expectations in the cause of innovation, comprehensive and sustainable development".

Spreading this spirit, Mai Phu commune people actively participated in carrying out tasks with enthusiasm and excitement, contributing to improving the NTM criteria. Ms. To Thi Binh (Dong Thang village, Mai Phu commune) said: "By focusing on completing the smart village criteria; participating in cleaning and arranging household gardens, dredging canals, etc., people in the village all showed high enthusiasm. This is an opportunity for the community to unite, promote solidarity and join hands to beautify the appearance of the countryside to become cleaner and more beautiful."

According to information from the Ha Tinh New Rural Area Coordination Office, localities in the province are simultaneously launching activities related to the new rural area construction movement to celebrate the upcoming major political events of the province.
