This year's "Supporting Exam Season" program was launched by the Provincial Youth Union in early June 2025, with the participation of more than 800 union members and young people at official exam sites in 10 districts and cities across the province.
At each exam site, young volunteers were present very early to guide, direct traffic, distribute free drinking water, bread, medical masks, and raincoats to candidates and their families. At the same time, they provided advice and reminders on exam regulations, and supported pick-up and drop-off for candidates who lived far away or had difficult circumstances, contributing to creating a stable and confident mindset for candidates before the exam.
Nguyen Hoang Tung, a student from the Academy of Finance, who participated in supporting the exam site at Ky Son High School, shared: "Being able to accompany students during this important time is a meaningful experience. The relay teams not only provide material support, but also boost the students' spirits so they can be more confident when entering the exam room."
Not only stopping at superficial support, the "Exam Support" program in 2025 is organized systematically, in depth and linked to the actual requirements of each locality. Since the end of May, the Provincial Youth Union has directed the District and City Youth Unions to coordinate with theEducation sector and local authorities to develop a plan to assign volunteer teams to exam clusters, ensuring no overlap or omission. In particular, volunteer teams are trained in first aid skills, handling emergency situations such as fainting, low blood pressure, lost belongings, lateness... and are ready to support candidates and parents throughout the exam period. Many exam sites have arranged water tables and small psychological counseling corners, creating a friendly space, helping candidates and their families to reduce anxiety.
At the exam site of Cong Nghiep High School ( Hoa Binh City), Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, a parent of a student, emotionally shared: "In the afternoon, right after the exam, it suddenly rained. Thanks to the young volunteers who quickly distributed raincoats and held umbrellas for the children, I was touched."
Create spiritual support for students
During the 2025 10th grade entrance exam, there were erratic thunderstorms on the exam day, and traffic in some difficult areas was partially disrupted. Thanks to the youth volunteers who were on duty regularly, the work of picking up and dropping off candidates, traffic control, and temporary rescue all took place smoothly and safely.
At the exam site of Quyet Thang High School (Lac Son), young volunteers were present early to guide and distribute drinking water to candidates and their families.
In remote communes such as Nanh Nghe (Da Bac), Ngo Luong (Tan Lac) or highland communes in Mai Chau district, many students have to travel more than 10 km to get to the exam site. The Youth Union organizations have proactively mobilized motorbikes and cars of union officials and parents to support free transportation. At some difficult exam sites, the volunteer team also coordinated with the school to prepare meals and a place for students to rest at noon, helping them feel secure in taking the exam.
"Supporting the exam season" is not only an annual volunteer program, but also an activity that clearly demonstrates the profound humanitarian spirit and responsibility of young people towards the community. Comrade Nguyen Thanh Luan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: "This year's program was implemented synchronously, creatively and in line with the needs. The volunteer teams promoted good initiative, coordinated well with functional forces, and ensured absolute safety. The Provincial Youth Union will continue to replicate the model, and at the same time learn from experience so that next year's exams will be organized more effectively and widely."
The activities of supporting the exam season have a great influence on society. Each face in green shirts at the school gate, each small but meaningful action is contributing to building a beautiful image of a generation of young people who live responsibly, know how to share and contribute.
At the end of each volunteer session, despite being exhausted from the rain and sun, and busy taking care of others, all volunteers still smiled. "Supporting exam season" not only provides material support to candidates, but is also a living testament to the spirit of compassion, responsibility and dynamism of youth. Simple but sincere actions are contributing to building a better society, accompanying all students on the path to their dreams.
