Russian Su-34 launches Kh-59MK missile, accurately attacks strategic position in Ukraine

On May 1, according to AVP, as part of the military operation in the Kurakhovsky direction, Russian Su-34NVO bombers used high-precision missiles against several strategically important targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Kh-59MK missiles were used in this attack and accurately hit strategic logistics centers of Ukraine. These centers play an important role in supplying the Ukrainian army.

In another attack, the Russian military used the Kh-31PD missile equipped with a Ramjet engine. This type of missile is designed to counter radar stations, which can significantly reduce the effectiveness of enemy air defense systems.

The Russian Su-34NVO has been upgraded to launch hypersonic and long-range cruise missiles. Cruise missiles and hypersonic missiles are not new, but they were not previously part of the Su-34's weapon system. Integrating these weapons onto the Su-34 is a new solution to increase the diversity of combat operations. In the current tense situation, the effective use of various types of missiles has confirmed Russia's strategic advantage in the air.

Also on May 1, the Russian military launched a new attack on the city of Odesa. Local authorities confirmed the airstrikes but did not officially disclose the target.

According to the Ukrainian military, the city was attacked by three Russian Iskander-M missiles. At least three large explosions were confirmed in the city.

Among the attacks was an attack on Kulikovo Square in the city center. The headquarters of the Southern Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is located there. After the airstrike, the square was immediately cordoned off by Ukrainian troops and officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). According to eyewitnesses, several ambulances were heading in this direction.

Several other Russian attacks have also been reported in the area of ​​the local railway station, which serves the transportation of ammunition and military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
