That was the case of a female student named NTN (15 years old, from Lam Dong ), who was taken to the hospital in a state of severe eye pain, blurred vision with swollen eyelids, bleeding around the injured area, rapidly declining vision, only able to count fingers at a distance of 3 meters.
Previously, while playing soccer on May 17, the female student unfortunately had an unexpected accident.
"As soon as the ball hit my eye, I felt a burning pain and my vision became blurry. I couldn't see anything clearly. I was very uncomfortable and panicked. When my friends came to see me, they saw a red streak in my eye like blood. Everyone was worried. Everyone immediately called my family to take me to the emergency room...", N. shared.

Immediately after N. was admitted to the hospital, Dr. Tran Thi Khanh Linh, Deputy Director of the Eye Hospital, directly provided emergency care to the patient. Through examination with a specialized examination machine, it was determined that the patient had anterior chamber hemorrhage and traumatic eye injury.
The patient was prescribed medication and instructed on how to use it, and was continuously monitored by the doctor. After treatment, the patient's eye swelling and bleeding were effectively controlled, vision was restored and stable, and no serious complications were recorded.
Currently, the patient has been able to return to normal life and study.

Doctor Khanh Linh said that recently, the hospital where she works has received many cases of eye injuries while participating in sports , especially in children, because it is summer and extracurricular activities are bustling.
Doctors warn that parents should pay special attention and instruct their children to use appropriate protective equipment when playing sports, especially sports with high risk of collision such as soccer, basketball, badminton, tennis... especially the eye area, because this is a very vulnerable area.
When injured and showing unusual signs, you should immediately go to a specialist facility for examination and timely treatment to avoid unfortunate risks to your eyesight.
