Goodbye youth!

At the end of May, when the royal poinciana flowers are bright red in the schoolyards and the cicadas are chirping loudly, 12th grade students are filled with nostalgia for their farewell ceremony, and many students from Tran Dai Nghia High School (Tay Ninh City) are no exception.

In her gratitude speech, Do Ngoc Tham, class 12A3, wrote: “It’s not a miracle, but we get to meet each other, accompany each other, share and sympathize with each other, and go through the most beautiful years of our lives! However, there are still times when we don’t really understand each other, unintentionally causing unnecessary misunderstandings and conflicts. But in the end, we are still the same as the first days, still moving towards the finish line together.

At this moment, let's look back at every step we've taken, look closely and for a long time at every corner of the schoolyard, every hallway, every face, every laugh, every voice of the people around us or of the person who made you have your first crush... so that when you suddenly remember, you won't feel regret or have to say "I wish I could have looked for a long time that time". Because this is the last time we are called "students". Summer will always be here, but there will be no more summers with us that year. Not every farewell is the end, in the future, no matter what happens, I hope we will always remember the school, the respected teachers and ourselves".

Record the feelings

In the large school yard, there were many scenes of congratulations, passing around shirts full of signatures, capturing memorable moments in student life, making many young people nostalgic. Next to his group of friends, Tran Tuan Huy, class 12A6 shared: “I have mixed emotions of joy and sadness at this time. I am happy because this is the moment that marks my 12th year of schooling. I am sad because I have to leave my homeroom teacher, leave the school that I have been attached to for 3 years, which I tried hard to get into. There are still many things I have not done with my friends, and there are teachers I have not learned from.”

Tuan Huy also shared that on the final day, he wanted to take pictures with his friends and homeroom teacher. He was very happy to be able to save memories together.

Feeling both happy and a little regretful about her student days, Pham Hoang Yen Linh, class 12A1, said: “This is the last graduation ceremony of my student life, so I have many emotions, but I am very happy and pleased because after 12 years of studying, we have tried very hard. The mistakes or the right things we have done are memories and lessons that help me improve, and are provisions for me to embark on a new journey.”

Close friends for many years, Do Ngoc Tham and Lam Binh Nhi, also shared their emotions about the last time they sat on school benches, as students and wore the pure white ao dai uniform. Binh Nhi, class 12A7, expressed: “During the closing ceremony, I was both happy and sad because I had to say goodbye to my school, friends, and teachers. But I hope that in the future, Ngoc Tham and I will continue to meet in other positions that are even more joyful and happier than now.”

Thank you and sorry are two things that Nguyen Nhat Quang, 12A4 really wanted to do in the last ceremony of his student life, before officially embarking on a new journey. “Perhaps what I wanted to do and did today was to thank the teachers - those who helped and guided me on the path to my dream. Or to apologize for the times I made trouble and hurt my teachers. I feel very happy to do that! In this last school year, I have achieved my learning goals, so I am very happy. Later, when I graduate, I can proudly say that I am a student of the beloved Tran Dai Nghia school.”

Memories forever full

There are memories that you will remember forever because they are so profound, because they accompanied you growing up during your adolescence or even on your journey to adulthood.

Nguyen Nhat Quang will never forget the beautiful memories of his high school days when he decided to participate in the excellent student competition. Quang said that at that time, he lacked the confidence to participate in such a big "arena". But thanks to the trust and encouragement of his teachers, he boldly competed. "I won a prize in that competition, although it was small, for me it was a brilliant highlight in the picture of my youth". And tomorrow, that belief and motivation will give Quang the confidence to move forward.

Do Ngoc Tham will always remember the time she organized the 20/11 ceremony for her homeroom teacher. Tham said that although there were disagreements and arguments during those times, in the end she and her friends united to organize a meaningful gratitude ceremony for her teacher. That was also a way for the little girl to learn more life lessons for herself, in addition to the lessons in books. "In a group, you are not always the best, the important thing is that you have to be in harmony with everyone" - the little student shared.

Memories of school days are always filled with friendship, especially when we know how to work together. Tran Tuan Huy shared: “During the 3 years of school, my group of friends and I rarely participated in art movements, but in the final year, we unanimously participated in a performance together. After a period of hard practice, our performance “Nhở mới kết đi này và Nhất Quỷ Nhị Ma” was also performed in front of the school. That was a very memorable memory for us.”

Memories and emotions of youth will be the luggage that accompany students on a new journey filled with dreams and ambitions as shared by Binh Nhi, Ngoc Tham, Yen Linh, Nhat Quang and Tuan Huy. They will keep the deep, lingering memories of their youth as in the lyrics of the song that Tuan Huy's group of friends sang together at this emotional ceremony: "Let's freeze together, before the moment we part, student life passes quickly like a dream that will never return, we have to go through it, don't cry, we will grow up, we will walk on new paths. My friend!" (Let's freeze together - composed by Tien Cookie).
